Ingredients

  • 1 cup finely shredded chicken (cooked and finely shredded)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg (large)
  • seasonings of your choice (such as salt, pepper, garlic powder, or paprika)
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder (optional; for a fluffier texture)

Steps

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of finely shredded chicken, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, one egg, and seasonings of your choice.

  3. 3

Add 1/2 tsp of baking powder to the mixture if you want the fries to be fluffier.

  4. 4

Mix all the ingredients well until they are completely combined.

  5. 5

Shape into long, thin strips in the shape of fries on the prepared baking sheet.

  6. 6

Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes or until golden brown and firm.

  7. 7

Remove from the oven and let rest for one minute before serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure the chicken is very finely shredded so the fries hold their shape. They can be served with sugar-free ketchup or ranch dressing.
