Ingredients
- 2 chicken breast (large, boneless and skinless)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika (smoked or sweet)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp onion powder
- 0.5 tsp dried oregano
- salt (to taste)
- black pepper (to taste)
Steps
- 1
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes to ensure even cooking.
- 2
Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture, which helps the oil and spices adhere better.
- 3
In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- 4
Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken breasts, then rub the spice mixture evenly over all sides of the meat.
- 5
Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overlapping.
- 6
Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping the chicken halfway through the cooking time.
- 7
Check for doneness using a meat thermometer; the internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
- 8
Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.
Notes
For even cooking, you can pound the thicker part of the chicken breast to a uniform thickness before seasoning. Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
