Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp self-rising flour (heaping tablespoons; can be substituted with all-purpose flour plus 1/2 tsp of baking powder)
  • 2 tbsp Greek yogurt (plain)
  • chocolate chips (a handful)

Steps

  1. 1

Mix the self-rising flour, Greek yogurt, and chocolate chips in a bowl until a thick dough forms.

  2. 2

Use your hands to press the dough into a ball; it should be soft and smooth, not sticky. Add a little more flour if necessary.

  3. 3

Flatten the dough ball with your hands into a triangular shape on a piece of parchment paper.

  4. 4

To cook in an air fryer: cook at 180°C (350°F) for 12 to 15 minutes.

  5. 5

To cook in a conventional oven: bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30 minutes.

  6. 6

If the center still feels raw or doughy, flip the scone and cook for an additional 3 to 5 minutes.

  7. 7

Optional: sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
