Ingredients

  • 1 pak Fine cake mix (brand of choice)
  • 150 g Heavy cream (ready-to-use from a carton/tub (replaces the butter))
  • 4 Eggs (size L)
  • 50 ml Milk
  • Whipped cream (optional, to spread over the cooled cake)

Steps

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to the temperature indicated on the cake mix packaging.

  2. 2

Place the cake mix in a mixing bowl.

  3. 3

Add the 150 g of heavy cream to the mix instead of the usual butter.

  4. 4

Add the 4 eggs and 50 ml of milk to the mixture.

  5. 5

Mix everything into a smooth batter according to the instructions on the package.

  6. 6

Pour the batter into a greased cake tin and bake the cake for the time indicated on the packaging.

  7. 7

Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool completely.

  8. 8

Optionally, spread some extra whipped cream over the top of the cooled cake.

  9. 9

Slice the cake into 20 slices for a serving of approximately 100 kcal per slice.

Notes

The calories are calculated based on 20 slices. Although the packaging often suggests 25 slices, this calculation is more generous. The total cake contains approximately 2032 kcal compared to 2875 kcal for the standard version with butter.
