Ingredients

  • 300 g beef (sirloin) (thinly sliced)
  • 2 cup cooked rice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic (finely minced)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp ginger (optional)
  • 2 green onions (chopped)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 100 g mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp lime juice

Steps

  1. 1

In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, ginger (if using), and black pepper.

  2. 2

Add the sliced beef to the bowl and let marinate for 10 to 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

  3. 3

Heat the olive oil in a skillet over high heat and cook the beef until fully cooked and caramelized on the outside.

  4. 4

In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, gochujang, honey, and lime juice until you get a creamy and smooth sauce.

  5. 5

Assemble the bowls by placing a base of cooked rice in each one.

  6. 6

Top with the cooked bulgogi beef.

  7. 7

Drizzle generously with the creamy gochujang sauce.

  8. 8

Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, and serve immediately.
