Ingredients
- 1 Small roasted potato (One potato per waffle; it must be completely cooked and tender before use.)
- 30 g Cheese (Grated or thinly sliced; use as much as needed to cover the potato.)
- Toppings of your choice (Optional; choose your preferred toppings for serving.)
Steps
- 1
Preheat the waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions. If the surface is not nonstick, lightly grease it.
- 2
Place some cheese on the bottom plate of the waffle iron, forming a layer approximately the size of the waffle.
- 3
Place the small roasted potato on top. You can add it whole if it fits, or lightly mash it to distribute it evenly.
- 4
Cover the potato with a little more cheese. Carefully close the waffle iron and cook for a few minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden and the waffle looks firm and crisp on the outside.
- 5
Remove the waffle with a spatula and serve it hot with your preferred toppings.
Notes
The published recipe calls for one small roasted potato per waffle, cheese, and toppings of your choice. If starting with a raw potato, roast it first until tender when pierced with a knife; this time is not included in the stated preparation and cooking times. The exact cooking time in the waffle iron may vary depending on the appliance.
