Ingredients
- 2.5 medium ripe but firm bananas (Use 2–3 bananas; slice into even ¼-inch rounds.)
- 1 tbsp coconut oil or unsalted butter (Melted.)
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar (For the cinnamon-sugar coating.)
- 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon (For the cinnamon-sugar coating.)
Steps
- 1
Peel 2.5 bananas and slice them into even 0.5 cm rounds.
- 2
Preheat the air fryer to 135°C for 3 minutes.
- 3
In a small bowl, mix 2 tbsp granulated sugar and 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon together.
- 4
In a separate bowl, toss the banana slices with the melted coconut oil or butter until they are lightly coated.
- 5
Arrange the banana slices in a single layer in the air-fryer basket, making sure they do not overlap. Cook in batches if necessary.
- 6
Air-fry for 25–28 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through, until they are golden, dry, and slightly shrunken.
- 7
While the chips are still warm, toss them with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- 8
Spread the chips on a wire rack and cool completely for 10 minutes so they can crisp up.
Notes
The source specifies a 10-minute preparation time, 25–28-minute cooking time, and 10-minute cooling period. The chips should be cooked in batches when needed to maintain a single layer without overlapping.
