Ingredients
- 2 chicken thighs (Skin-on, as described in the method)
- 0.125 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1.5 tbsp honey
- 0.5 tbsp sweet soy sauce (Author mentions @lkkeurope)
- 1 ginger (1 thumb, grated)
Steps
- 1
Place the chicken thighs skin-side down in a cold stainless-steel pan. Turn the heat to medium-low and cook for about 10–15 minutes, occasionally pressing the thighs, until the skin releases naturally from the pan. Do not force them to lift; leave them longer if they are still sticking.
- 2
Flip the thighs and cook for a few more minutes, until fully cooked.
- 3
Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside.
- 4
Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, sweet soy sauce, and grated ginger to the pan. Mix and cook until the sauce thickens.
- 5
Return the chicken thighs to the pan and turn them to coat in the sauce.
- 6
Serve in a bowl with sticky rice and, if desired, a chickpea, avocado, red onion, and feta salad. The transcript also suggests spring onions as a garnish.
Notes
The post does not provide quantities or preparation instructions for the sticky rice or salad. The transcript mentions spring onions as an optional garnish and suggests skinless thighs cooked in a hot pan with butter as an alternative, but gives no quantities.
