Ingredients
- 300 g Chocolate, half milk and half dark (Melted)
- 150 g Icing sugar
- 750 g Cream cheese (Vegan cream cheese may be used)
- 2 tsp Orange extract
- 2 Oranges (For decoration; optional. Chop into chunks; orange peel may also be used)
- 150 g Biscuits of choice
- 1 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp Granulated white sugar
Steps
- 1
In a food processor, blitz the biscuits until they form fine crumbs.
- 2
Add the cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and butter to the biscuit crumbs. Blitz briefly until combined.
- 3
Transfer the crumb mixture to a removable-bottom baking tin. Press it evenly across the bottom with a spoon, then set aside.
- 4
In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese and icing sugar with a hand mixer.
- 5
Melt the chocolate, then add it to the cream cheese mixture. Beat with the hand mixer until incorporated.
- 6
Add the orange extract and mix until combined.
- 7
Spoon the chocolate-orange filling into the tin over the biscuit base. Spread it evenly with a mini palette knife or spoon, filling the edges.
- 8
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours to set, preferably overnight.
- 9
When fully set, chop the oranges into chunks and arrange them over the cheesecake. Cut some orange peel for topping if desired.
- 10
Slice and serve.
