Ingredients
- 200 g extra lean ground beef (raw weight)
- pickles (diced for the meat mixture)
- onion (diced for the meat mixture)
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 6 wonton wrappers
- 1.5 Slices low-fat cheese (Cheddar type, cut into small squares)
- cooking oil spray (for cooking)
- 1 tbsp light mayonnaise (or fat-free)
- 0.5 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp pickle juice
- 1 tbsp low-calorie ketchup
- 1 tbsp diced pickles (for the sauce)
- 1 tsp garlic powder (sauce)
- 1 tsp sweetener
- salt and pepper (a pinch of each for the sauce)
- chives (for garnish)
- sesame seeds (for garnish)
Steps
- 1
In a bowl, combine the 200 g of extra lean ground beef, diced pickles, diced onions, 2 tsp salt, 1 tsp black pepper, 2 tsp garlic powder, and 1 tsp onion powder. Mix well until all ingredients are integrated.
- 2
Lightly moisten the edge of a wonton wrapper with water.
- 3
Place 1 tbsp of the meat mixture onto the wonton wrapper and spread it evenly over the surface. Repeat this process with all 6 wrappers.
- 4
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and spray it with cooking oil spray.
- 5
Place the wontons in the skillet with the meat side down. Cook until the meat has developed a nice golden-brown sear.
- 6
Flip the wontons so the wrapper side is facing down.
- 7
Cut the low-fat cheese slices into small squares and place one square on top of each wonton.
- 8
Optionally, cover the skillet with a lid for a brief moment to help the cheese melt.
- 9
To prepare the burger sauce, mix in a small container: 1 tbsp light mayonnaise, 0.5 tbsp yellow mustard, 1 tbsp pickle juice, 1 tbsp low-calorie ketchup, 1 tbsp diced pickles, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp sweetener, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- 10
Remove the wontons from the skillet and garnish with chopped chives, sesame seeds, and the prepared burger sauce.
