Ingredients
- 1 kg Ground beef, pork, or a mixture of both (The author suggests beef, pork, or a mixture of the two.)
- 2 Eggs
- 2 Garlic cloves (Cloves of garlic.)
- Fresh parsley
- 2 rebanadas Sandwich bread (Soaked in milk.)
- Milk (A little, for soaking the bread.)
- Salt (To taste.)
- Flour (For coating.)
- Oil (Plenty, for frying.)
- 700 g Homemade fried tomato sauce (Optional, for serving them with tomato sauce.)
Steps
- 1
Soak the slices of sandwich bread in a little milk.
- 2
Blend the eggs, garlic cloves, fresh parsley, bread soaked in milk, and salt.
- 3
Pour the blended mixture over the ground meat and mix well until evenly combined.
- 4
Let the mixture rest in the refrigerator for a few minutes, until it firms up.
- 5
Take portions of the meat mixture, shape them into balls, and flatten them slightly into patties. Place them on parchment paper.
- 6
Dredge the patties in flour and shake off the excess. Place them back on the parchment paper.
- 7
Heat plenty of oil in a frying pan. Fry the patties until well browned on both sides, then set aside.
- 8
For the tomato sauce option, heat the homemade tomato sauce in another pan. Once it is gently simmering, add the patties and cook over low heat for about 20 minutes.
- 9
Serve the patties plain or with tomato sauce; they can also be accompanied by French fries or rice.
- 10
Make extra, if you like, and freeze it so you have a homemade meal ready for another day.
Notes
The frying time is not specified. The recipe does not give exact amounts for the milk, parsley, flour, or oil. Making extra and freezing it is recommended; the tomato sauce is optional.
