Ingredients
- 0.5 cup Rolled oats
- 0.5 cup Milk of choice (dairy or plant-based)
- 0.25 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
- 1 tbsp Chia seeds
- 0.5 Banana (mashed)
- 1 tsp Maple syrup (or honey)
- 0.25 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tbsp Walnuts (chopped)
- 1 tsp Dark chocolate chips
Steps
- 1
In a jar or airtight container, mash half of a ripe banana until smooth.
- 2
Add the rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, maple syrup, and cinnamon to the jar.
- 3
Stir all the ingredients together until thoroughly combined.
- 4
Fold in the chopped walnuts and dark chocolate chips, or layer them on top if preferred.
- 5
Seal the container and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 4-8 hours, to allow the oats to soften and the flavors to meld.
- 6
In the morning, stir again and add an extra splash of milk if you prefer a thinner consistency. Top with extra banana slices or walnuts if desired.
Notes
For extra protein, you can add a scoop of vanilla protein powder. If the mixture is too thick in the morning, simply stir in a tablespoon or two of milk.
