Ingredients

  • Honey (to coat the bottom of the dish)
  • 1 stick Butter (cut into six pieces)
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar (about one tablespoon)
  • Salt (a pinch)
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon (one teaspoon)
  • 5 Peaches (sliced)
  • 1 sheet Puff pastry (one sheet of pastry)
  • 1 Egg wash (one egg beaten with a little water or milk)

Steps

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 2

Spread a layer of honey on a baking sheet or in a dish.

  3. 3

Place the six pieces of butter on the honey.

  4. 4

Evenly sprinkle the brown sugar, pinch of salt, and cinnamon over the butter.

  5. 5

Arrange the peach slices over the butter and spice mixture.

  6. 6

Cover the peaches with the sheet of puff pastry, tucking the edges in slightly.

  7. 7

Brush the top of the pastry with the egg wash.

  8. 8

Bake for 20 minutes until the pastry is golden brown.

  9. 9

Remove from the oven and carefully flip the tart onto a serving platter while it is still warm.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a perfect contrast.
