Ingredients
- 1 cup oats
- 1 cup oat flour (can be made by blending 1 cup of oats)
- 2 ripe bananas (mashed)
- 0.25 cup cacao powder (or cocoa powder)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 0.75 cup milk
- chocolate chips (optional, for the batter)
- peanut butter (for topping dollops)
- chocolate chips (optional, for topping)
Steps
- 1
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- 2
Prepare an oven-proof baking dish by lightly greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- 3
In the prepared dish, add the oats, oat flour, mashed bananas, cacao powder, baking powder, milk, and chocolate chips (if using).
- 4
Mix all the ingredients thoroughly directly in the dish until well combined, then spread the mixture out into an even layer.
- 5
Add dollops of peanut butter across the top and use a knife to swirl it into the batter. Sprinkle with extra chocolate chips if desired.
- 6
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Notes
For a school-safe or nut-free version, omit the peanut butter topping. These are great for meal prep and can be stored in the fridge for the week.
