Ingredients

  • 2 pears (halved; remove stems and middle seeds)
  • 1 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 0.125 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 yogurt (1 scoop; type and size not specified)
  • 1 pecans (small handful, chopped)

Steps

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with baking paper.

  2. 2

Halve the pears and remove the stems and central seeds. Arrange them flesh-side up on the prepared tray.

  3. 3

In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, light brown sugar, and vanilla extract until completely emulsified.

  4. 4

Spoon the cinnamon-butter mixture over the pears, coating them.

  5. 5

Turn the pears flesh-side down and brush some of the cinnamon butter over the top.

  6. 6

Bake for 30 minutes, or until soft and beginning to caramelize.

  7. 7

Serve in bowls with a scoop of yogurt, chopped pecans, and some of the leftover sweet cinnamon butter.
