Ingredients
- 400 g Thinly sliced beef (Cut into thin slices)
- 2 cucchiai Barbecue sauce (The author used a sugar-free version; approximately 30 g)
- Salt (To taste; estimated amount approximately 2 g)
- Paprika (To taste; estimated amount approximately 2 g)
- Black pepper (To taste; estimated amount approximately 1 g)
- Coriander (To taste; estimated amount approximately 1 g)
- Oregano (To taste; estimated amount approximately 1 g)
- Rosemary (To taste; estimated amount approximately 1 g)
- Onion powder (To taste; estimated amount approximately 1 g)
- Garlic powder (To taste; estimated amount approximately 1 g)
Steps
- 1
Place the thinly sliced beef in a large bowl.
- 2
Add the barbecue sauce and the spices to taste: salt, paprika, pepper, coriander, oregano, rosemary, onion, and garlic.
- 3
Mix the meat thoroughly until it is evenly coated with the sauce and spices.
- 4
Arrange the slices in the air fryer basket one at a time, without overlapping them. If necessary, cook in multiple batches to allow the air to circulate.
- 5
Cook at 60 °C for 3-6 hours. The time depends mainly on the thickness of the slices: check them during cooking and continue until they are dry and firm, as shown in the video.
- 6
Let the jerky cool briefly before serving or storing it.
Notes
The dehydration time varies considerably depending on the thickness of the meat and the air fryer model. For extended storage, follow food-safety guidelines for dried meat and store it properly once completely cooled.
