Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 16 Frozen beef meatballs (Pre-cooked)
  • 0.5 Onion (Diced)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (Minced)
  • 1 lb Spaghetti (Dry)
  • 24 oz Marinara sauce (One jar)
  • 3 cup Water
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese (Grated, for garnish)
  • Fresh parsley (Chopped, for garnish)

Steps

  1. 1

Heat the olive oil in a large, deep skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

Add the beef meatballs to the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned on all sides.

  3. 3

Add the diced onion to the skillet with the meatballs. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent and soft.

  4. 4

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 30-60 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  5. 5

Break the dry spaghetti in half (if necessary to fit) and lay it over the meatballs and aromatics in the pan.

  6. 6

Pour the marinara sauce and water over the spaghetti. Ensure the liquid completely covers the pasta.

  7. 7

Season with salt, black pepper, and dried oregano. Stir gently to distribute the seasonings.

  8. 8

Bring the liquid to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low. Cover the skillet with a tight-fitting lid.

  9. 9

Simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente and has absorbed most of the liquid. Stir once or twice during cooking to prevent the pasta from sticking together.

  10. 10

Remove from heat. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of water; if too thin, let it sit uncovered for 2 minutes.

  11. 11

Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley before serving directly from the pan.

Notes

Using frozen pre-cooked meatballs makes this a true 10-15 minute active cook time meal. If using raw meatballs, ensure they are fully cooked through to an internal temperature of 165°F before serving.
