Ingredients

  • 3 cup dried penne
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup yellow onion (diced)
  • 3 bell peppers (thinly sliced)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1.5 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1.5 cup shredded cheddar

Steps

  1. 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the 3 cups of dried penne and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

In a large skillet or pan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.

  3. 3

Add 1 pound of ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and no longer pink. Drain any excess grease if necessary.

  4. 4

Add 1 cup of diced yellow onion and 3 thinly sliced bell peppers to the skillet with the beef. Sauté until the vegetables are softened and the onions are translucent.

  5. 5

Season the mixture with 1 teaspoon seasoned salt, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce. Stir well to combine.

  6. 6

Pour in 1 cup of evaporated milk and 1 cup of heavy cream. Stir to combine with the beef and vegetable mixture.

  7. 7

Bring the liquid to a gentle simmer. Add 1.5 cups of shredded mozzarella and 1.5 cups of shredded cheddar cheese.

  8. 8

Stir constantly until the cheese is completely melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.

  9. 9

Add the cooked penne to the skillet. Toss thoroughly to ensure the pasta is evenly coated in the cheese sauce. Serve immediately.
