Ingredients
- 500 g Chicken breast (cubed)
- 2 tbsp Butter (unsalted)
- 1 Onion (finely chopped)
- 1 tbsp Garlic and ginger paste
- 1 cup Tomato puree
- 0.5 cup Heavy cream
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 0.5 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Chili powder (adjust to taste)
- Salt (to taste)
- Fresh coriander (for garnish)
Steps
- 1
Melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat.
- 2
Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until translucent and slightly golden, about 5 minutes.
- 3
Stir in the garlic and ginger paste and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- 4
Add the cubed chicken breast to the pan and cook until browned on all sides.
- 5
Stir in the garam masala, turmeric, chili powder, and salt, ensuring the chicken is well coated in the spices.
- 6
Pour in the tomato puree and stir well. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10-12 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
- 7
Pour in the heavy cream and stir until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
- 8
Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with naan or basmati rice.
Notes
For a richer flavor, you can marinate the chicken in yogurt and spices for 30 minutes before cooking. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of water or chicken stock.
