Ingredients

  • 2 chicken fillets
  • 2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp pepper
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 pack breadcrumbs
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 3 slices Gouda cheese
  • 1 baguette
  • lettuce (diced)
  • 1 tomato
  • basil

Steps

  1. 1

Prepare the breading station with three separate bowls: one for the flour mixed with paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper; one for the beaten eggs; and one for the breadcrumbs.

  2. 2

Dredge each chicken fillet in the seasoned flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat thoroughly with breadcrumbs.

  3. 3

Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.

  4. 4

Fry the chicken fillets in the hot oil until golden brown and cooked through on both sides. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the chicken while or after frying.

  5. 5

Slice the baguette and assemble the sandwich by layering the fried chicken, Gouda cheese slices, diced lettuce, sliced tomato, and fresh basil.

Notes

The recipe description implies a standard breading and frying method for the chicken fillets. Lemon is used to season the chicken, and the sandwich is assembled on a baguette.
