- 1 sweet onion (diced)
- 3 lb Yukon gold potatoes (cubed)
- 2 stick unsalted butter
- 3.5 cup cheddar cheese (shredded; 3 to 4 cups)
- 6 oz bacon bits

Place 4 pounds of sirloin tips into the bottom of a crockpot.

Add 2 tablespoons of garlic powder, 2 tablespoons of onion powder, 1/2 tablespoon of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes, 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, and 1 tablespoon of salt to the steak.

Add 1 diced sweet onion and 2 tablespoons of minced garlic to the pot, then mix well to coat the steak in the seasonings and aromatics.

Add 3 pounds of cubed Yukon gold potatoes to the crockpot and mix everything together again.

Place 2 sticks of butter on top of the mixture.

Cover and cook on low for approximately 7 hours.
