Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 sausage link (sliced)
- Mofo Delicious Seasoning (or your favorite Cajun/Creole seasoning, to taste)
- 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 0.5 cup red onion (diced)
- 1 green bell pepper (diced)
- 1 yellow bell pepper (diced)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 0.5 cup chicken broth
- 2 cup heavy cream
- 2 cup cooked crawfish tails
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 lb linguine pasta (cooked in boiling salted water for about 10 minutes)
Steps
- 1
Warm a large pan over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
- 2
Add the sliced sausage link to the pan. Season with Mofo Delicious Seasoning and cook for about 5 minutes, letting the sausage brown slightly.
- 3
Remove the browned sausage from the pan and set aside.
- 4
Add the shrimp to the same pan, season again with Mofo Delicious Seasoning, and cook for 3–5 minutes or until pink and opaque.
- 5
Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
- 6
Add the diced red onion, green pepper, and yellow pepper to the pan. Sauté for about 3 minutes, stirring often.
- 7
Add 2 tablespoons of butter and mix until melted.
- 8
Stir in 1 tablespoon of minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- 9
Pour in 1/2 cup of chicken broth and stir well to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits.
- 10
Add 2 cups of heavy cream and let it simmer for about 5 minutes to thicken slightly.
- 11
Add the cooked crawfish tails to the sauce and cook for about 3 minutes, stirring gently.
- 12
Add the grated Parmesan cheese to the pan. Stir until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.
- 13
Add the cooked linguine pasta and the reserved sausage and shrimp back into the pan. Give it a good mix to coat everything in the sauce and then it’s ready to serve.
Notes
The video transcript mentions adding 1 cup of diced tomatoes and 1 teaspoon of crushed red peppers, as well as a squeeze of lemon on the shrimp, which are not listed in the written description. You can add these for extra flavor and heat.
