Ingredients
- 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls (1 pack, sliced in half horizontally)
- 0.5 cup Marinara sauce (plus extra for dipping)
- 8 oz Mozzarella cheese (shredded, divided)
- 24 Pepperoni slices
- 0.5 lb Italian sausage (cooked and crumbled)
- 4 tbsp Unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp Dried oregano
- 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese (grated)
Steps
- 1
Preheat your oven or pellet grill to 350°F (175°C).
- 2
Without separating the individual rolls, slice the entire block of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally to create a top and bottom slab.
- 3
Place the bottom half of the rolls into a baking dish or onto a parchment-lined sheet pan.
- 4
Spread a layer of marinara sauce evenly over the bottom half of the rolls.
- 5
Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
- 6
Layer the pepperoni slices and cooked crumbled sausage over the cheese.
- 7
Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and place the top half of the rolls back on.
- 8
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, garlic powder, dried oregano, and grated Parmesan cheese.
- 9
Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the tops of the rolls.
- 10
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 10-15 minutes.
- 11
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the tops of the rolls are golden brown and slightly crisp.
- 12
Slice into individual sliders and serve warm with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
You can customize these sliders with your favorite pizza toppings like bell peppers, onions, or mushrooms. Ensure the sausage is fully browned and drained of excess fat before adding to the sliders to prevent them from becoming soggy.
