Ingredients

  • 1 pack King’s Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (12 pack)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (heaping cup)
  • 1 cup low moisture mozzarella (shredded)
  • 0.5 cup fresh mozzarella (hand torn)
  • 2.5 oz pepperoni cups
  • 3 tbsp hot honey
  • 0.5 stick salted butter (melted)
  • garlic (mentioned in transcript for the butter mixture)
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning
  • 0.25 cup grated parmesan

Steps

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

  2. 2

Slice the entire pack of King’s Hawaiian Rolls in half horizontally to create a top and bottom slab. Place the bottom layer of buns into the prepared baking dish.

  3. 3

Spread a heaping cup of marinara sauce evenly over the bottom layer of buns.

  4. 4

Layer on the shredded low moisture mozzarella and the hand-torn fresh mozzarella.

  5. 5

Top the cheese with the pepperoni cups.

  6. 6

Place the baking dish (without the top buns) into the oven and bake for 20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  7. 7

While the bottom half is baking, prepare the glaze by mixing the melted salted butter, garlic, Italian seasoning, and grated parmesan in a small bowl.

  8. 8

Remove the sliders from the oven and drizzle the hot honey over the melted cheese and pepperoni.

  9. 9

Place the top layer of buns onto the sliders.

  10. 10

Brush the garlic parmesan butter mixture generously over the tops of the buns.

  11. 11

Return the sliders to the oven for another 10 minutes until the buns are golden brown and toasted.

  12. 12

Remove from the oven, slice into individual sliders, and serve immediately while the cheese is gooey.

Notes

To prevent a soggy bottom, ensure your marinara is thick and avoid over-saturating the bread. Baking the bottom half first without the top buns helps the cheese melt and the bread stay structured.
