Weights are estimates. Together, the ingredients weigh about 620 g before cooking, which is about 310 g per serving.
Steps
Season the bite-sized chicken breast pieces with salt and black pepper to taste.
Dredge the seasoned chicken pieces in cornstarch until they are fully and evenly coated.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add the chicken to the skillet in a single layer and fry until golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 6-8 minutes. Remove chicken from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Whisk together the honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl, then pour the mixture into the skillet.
Simmer the sauce for 2-3 minutes until it begins to thicken and become syrupy.
Return the crispy chicken to the skillet and toss thoroughly to coat every piece in the honey garlic glaze.
Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
Notes
Serve immediately over steamed white rice or broccoli to maintain the chicken's crispiness. If the sauce gets too thick, add a splash of water to loosen it.
