- 6 oz pepper jack cheese (sliced)
- 1 cup colby jack cheese (shredded)
- 1 cup crispy fried onions
- 6 bacon (pieces, cooked and crumbled)
- 2 tbsp butter (melted)
- sesame seeds (for sprinkling)
Steps
- 1
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- 2
Cook 1 lb of ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned.
- 3
Season the beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- 4
Drain any extra grease from the skillet once the beef is fully cooked.

Slice the Hawaiian Rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half of the rolls in a greased baking dish or on a sheet pan.

Add a layer of pepper jack cheese slices over the bottom rolls.
- 8
Spread the cooked ground beef mixture evenly on top of the cheese.
- 9
Top the beef with shredded colby jack cheese, crumbled bacon, and crispy fried onions.
- 10
Drizzle with a little bit more BBQ sauce if desired.
- 11
Place the tops of the slider rolls back on.
- 12
Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- 13
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
Notes
You can use leftover bacon from breakfast to save time. When slicing the rolls, keep your knuckles on the counter to ensure an even cut through the whole slab.
