Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (Omaha Steaks brand specified in source)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 14.5 oz diced tomatoes (canned)
  • 15.5 oz chili beans (canned)
  • 8 oz tomato sauce (canned)
  • 1.5 cup beef broth
  • 2 cup elbow noodles
  • 2 cup shredded cheese (type not specified)

Steps

  1. 1

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and chopped onion, and brown them together until the beef is fully cooked and the onion is softened.

  2. 2

Season the beef and onion with the salt, black pepper, ground cumin, paprika, chili powder, and onion powder. Stir to distribute the seasonings.

  3. 3

Drain any extra grease from the skillet once the beef is fully cooked.

  4. 4

Add the minced garlic and stir well.

  5. 5

Add the diced tomatoes, chili beans, tomato sauce, beef broth, and elbow noodles to the skillet. Stir everything together well.

  6. 6

Bring the skillet to a quick boil, then reduce the heat to low.

  7. 7

Cover the skillet with a lid and cook for about 12 minutes, stirring once or twice so the elbow noodles do not stick.

  8. 8

Once the pasta is cooked, add the shredded cheese and stir until incorporated. Serve immediately.

Notes

The source does not specify the cheese variety. It states that the dish can be on the table in 30 minutes.
