Steps

  1. Put the thoroughly cleaned chicken wings in a bowl.

  2. Season the wings with adobo seasoning, all-purpose seasoning, ground black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, parsley, and the Goya Sazón packet. Mix until the wings are evenly coated.

  3. Add flour directly to the bowl of seasoned wings. Add a little more seasoning to the flour; no egg or mustard is used in this version.

  4. Cover the bowl and shake it well to coat the wings with the seasoned flour.

  5. Heat frying oil in a pan until hot enough to fry chicken. The creator does not specify a temperature.

  6. Add the coated wings to the hot oil and fry until cooked through and browned; the creator identifies doneness by the wings no longer looking pale. Work in batches as needed.

  7. While the wings fry, begin the honey garlic sauce by adding honey to a saucepan.

  8. Add a generous amount of garlic powder and some fresh garlic to the honey.

  9. Add ground black pepper and a little parsley to the sauce.

  10. Stir in Worcestershire sauce instead of the creator's usual soy sauce, then add butter.

  11. Cook the sauce for about 7 minutes to cook off the raw garlic taste.

  12. Remove the cooked wings from the oil and set them aside.

  13. Pour the finished sauce over the wings, coating them completely.

  14. Cover the wings and shake to distribute the sauce evenly, then serve.

Notes

The source does not provide measured quantities for the ingredients, a specific frying temperature, or a precise frying time. Chicken-wing amount, serving yield, and overall timing are estimates. The creator says soy sauce is normally used, but Worcestershire sauce was used in this version.
