Ingredients
- 500 g chicken thigh mince
- 1 white onion (large)
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 0.5 tsp coarse black pepper
- salt (to taste)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 wraps (for serving)
Steps
- 1
Grate the large white onion and squeeze out the excess liquid using a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth.
- 2
In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken thigh mince, grated onion, chilli powder, paprika, coarse black pepper, salt, and olive oil. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
- 3
Shape the chicken mixture into a tight, log-like shape (similar to a doner kebab loaf) and wrap it tightly in aluminum foil to hold its shape.
- 4
Place the foil-wrapped chicken log into the airfryer and cook at 180°C (350°F) for approximately 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- 5
Remove the foil, slice the chicken thinly, and serve inside the wraps with your choice of salad and sauces.
Notes
For the best texture, ensure the onion liquid is squeezed out thoroughly before mixing with the mince. You can serve this with garlic sauce, chili sauce, lettuce, and sliced tomatoes.
