Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp natural peanut butter (room temperature or warm)
  • 1 tbsp caramel sauce
  • 2 tsp instant espresso (intense flavor recommended)
  • 2 oz hot water
  • 1 tbsp chocolate sauce (for lining the cup)
  • ice (enough to fill the glass 3/4 full)
  • 6 oz milk

Steps

  1. 1

In a small pitcher or mixing glass, combine 1 tablespoon of room temperature natural peanut butter and 1 tablespoon of caramel sauce.

  2. 2

Add 2 teaspoons of instant espresso and 2 ounces of hot water to the peanut butter and caramel mixture.

  3. 3

Use an electric frother to mix the ingredients until everything is completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth.

  4. 4

Drizzle approximately 1 tablespoon of chocolate sauce around the inside walls of your serving glass to line it.

  5. 5

Fill the chocolate-lined glass about three-quarters of the way with ice.

  6. 6

Pour the frothed espresso mixture over the ice.

  7. 7

Top off the drink with about 6 ounces of milk and serve immediately.

Notes

Using an intense flavor of instant espresso helps ensure the coffee taste isn't overpowered by the peanut butter and syrups. Ensure the peanut butter is at room temperature or slightly warm so it incorporates easily into the hot water.
