Ingredients
- 1 loaf Brioche bread (cut into 1-inch cubes)
- 8 Eggs
- 2 cup Whole milk
- 0.5 cup Heavy cream
- 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
- 2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 0.5 cup Butter (melted)
- 0.5 cup Brown sugar (packed)
- 1 cup Flour
- 1 tsp Cinnamon (for topping)
Steps
- 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- 2
Place the cubed brioche bread into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- 3
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon until well combined.
- 4
Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread cubes, ensuring all pieces are soaked. Press down gently with a spatula to help the bread absorb the liquid.
- 5
In a separate small bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, flour, and the remaining 1 teaspoon of cinnamon to create the crumble topping. Mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- 6
Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the soaked bread.
- 7
Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
- 8
Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For best results, you can assemble the dish the night before and let it soak in the refrigerator overnight before baking in the morning.
