Ingredients
Steps
Finely chop the peeled and deveined shrimp until it has an almost minced texture.
Add the grated garlic and ginger, a little soy sauce, and the chopped scallions. Mix well to combine and set the filling aside.
Cut the rice paper sheets into quarters. Soak them in water and layer them on top of one another.
Place a portion of the shrimp mixture on the stacked rice paper sheets.
Using your hands, fold the rice paper around the filling to form the gyoza.
Once all the gyoza are shaped, heat a pan and add oil.
Place the gyoza in the pan, cover, and cook for about 5 minutes, turning them until golden on all sides.
Serve with a little extra chopped scallion and soy sauce.
Notes
The amounts of filling ingredients and oil are not specified. The folding technique can vary; the author says the important thing is that they taste good.
