Ingredients
- 1 serving Ramen noodles (Fresh or dried)
- 4 oz Chicken breast (Sliced into bite-sized pieces)
- 1.5 tbsp Miso paste (White or red miso)
- 2 cup Chicken broth (Low sodium preferred)
- 2 Garlic (Minced)
- 1 tsp Ginger (Grated)
- 0.25 cup Heavy cream (For creaminess; can substitute with soy milk)
- 1 tsp Soy sauce (To taste)
- 1 stalk Green onions (Chopped for garnish)
- 1 tsp Sesame oil (For sautéing)
Steps
- 1
Prepare the ramen noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- 2
In a pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add the sliced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- 3
Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the pot. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- 4
Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer.
- 5
In a small bowl, whisk together the miso paste with a few tablespoons of the warm broth until smooth, then stir the mixture back into the pot.
- 6
Stir in the heavy cream and soy sauce. Let the broth simmer for another 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors, but do not let it boil vigorously.
- 7
Place the cooked noodles into a bowl and pour the creamy miso chicken broth over them.
- 8
Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute the chicken with tofu and use vegetable broth. You can also add soft-boiled eggs or corn as additional toppings.
