Ingredients
- 3 Flour tortillas (Cut in half)
- 180 g Cooked chicken breast (Previously cooked with salt and spices, shredded or cut into small pieces)
- 3 Sliced cheese (Approximately half a slice for each tortilla half; use around 20 g per slice)
- 80 g Grated mozzarella (For covering the tortillas before baking)
- 1 tsp Oil or nonstick cooking spray (For greasing the baking dish)
- Salt (To taste, for seasoning the chicken)
- Spices (To taste, for seasoning the chicken)
Steps
- 1
Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
- 2
Cut the 3 tortillas in half to obtain 6 semicircles.
- 3
Place some previously cooked and seasoned chicken breast in the center of each tortilla half.
- 4
Add half a slice of cheese over the chicken in each tortilla.
- 5
Close each tortilla by folding it over the filling to form a stuffed piece.
- 6
Lightly grease an oven-safe baking dish with oil or nonstick cooking spray.
- 7
Place the stuffed tortillas in the baking dish, arranging them close together with the seam side down so they maintain their shape.
- 8
Cover the tortillas with the grated mozzarella, distributing it evenly.
- 9
Bake for approximately 15 minutes at 200 °C, until the mozzarella has melted and is golden and gratinated.
- 10
Remove from the oven and serve hot.
Notes
The amounts of chicken, sliced cheese, and mozzarella were not specified in the original post; they were estimated for 3 tortillas. Monitor the baking closely to prevent the tortillas from drying out: they should remain hot, with the cheese well gratinated.
