Ingredients
- 250 g ground chicken (finely ground)
- 2 tbsp tapioca (tapioca flour)
- 1 egg white (cold)
- 0.5 tsp garlic powder
- scallion (chopped)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- salt, pepper, and seasoning (to taste)
- rice paper (enough sheets to wrap the filling)
- oil for frying (or use an air fryer for a lower-calorie version)
Steps
- 1
In a bowl, combine the ground chicken, tapioca, cold egg white, and garlic powder.
- 2
Add the chopped scallion, sesame oil, oyster sauce, and soy sauce to the chicken mixture.
- 3
Season with salt, pepper, and additional seasoning to taste. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully combined.
- 4
Prepare the rice paper by lightly hydrating it according to the package instructions until flexible.
- 5
Place a portion of the chicken filling on the rice paper and wrap it tightly.
- 6
Heat oil in a skillet and fry the rolls until the rice paper is crispy and the chicken is completely cooked.
- 7
As a lower-calorie alternative, cook them in an air fryer until golden brown and crispy.
Notes
For a healthier version, the author recommends using an air fryer. Be careful when frying rice paper, as it may splatter if it is too wet.
