Ingredients

  • 13.8 oz refrigerated pizza crust (1 tube)
  • 8 string cheese (pieces)
  • 24 pepperoni (slices)
  • 0.5 tsp Italian Garlic seasoning
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 0.5 cup pizza sauce (optional for dipping)

Steps

    Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.

    Roll the pizza crust out on a lightly greased baking sheet, then spread into a large, thin layer.

    Cut the dough into 8 rectangle shapes.

    Arrange 3 slices of pepperoni into the center of each piece of dough, then top with a piece of string cheese.

    Tuck the ends of the dough over the cheese, then roll the sides in.

    Brush with butter and then sprinkle seasoning on top.

Notes

Variations: You can use crescent roll dough if pizza crust is unavailable. For 'Pizza Bombs', cut the cheese into small pieces and wrap the dough in a ball shape. Packing for school: These can be eaten at room temperature. To keep warm, heat in the microwave before school, wrap in aluminum foil, and store in an insulated lunch box. Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container or Ziploc bag. Reheat in 10-second increments in the microwave, or at 250°F in the oven for 5-6 minutes.
