Weights are estimates. Together, the ingredients weigh about 1.72 kg before cooking, which is about 430 g per serving.
Steps
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the farfalle and cook until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the ground beef and chopped onion. Cook for 6–8 minutes, stirring as needed, until the beef is browned.
Add the minced garlic, tomato paste, paprika, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
Pour in the beef broth and heavy cream. Stir well, then simmer for 3–4 minutes, until the sauce starts to thicken.
Stir in the Parmesan and half of the mozzarella until the cheese melts into the sauce.
Add the drained pasta and toss until evenly coated. If needed, add a splash of the reserved pasta water.
Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella over the top. Cover the skillet for 2–3 minutes, until the cheese is melted and gooey.
Finish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan, then serve.
Notes
The recipe mentions extra Parmesan for serving but gives no amount. The amount of salt in the pasta water and seasoning is to taste.
