Weights are estimates. Together, the ingredients weigh about 670 g before cooking, which is about 170 g per serving.
Steps
Lay out a slice of ham and place a slice of cheese on top.
Roll the ham and cheese tightly to form a roll.
Dip each roll in the beaten egg, making sure it is well coated.
Coat the roll in breadcrumbs, pressing lightly so they stick.
Heat enough oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Fry the rolls until golden and crispy on all sides.
Remove from the oil and place on paper towels to drain off excess oil before serving.
Notes
You can use toothpicks to secure the rolls before breading, but remember to remove them before eating. For a healthier version, cook them in an air fryer at 200°C for 8-10 minutes.
