Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Miso
  • 1.5 tsp Gochujang
  • 1 tsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Mirin
  • 1 tsp Sugar (Adjust the sweetness to taste)
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil

Steps

  1. 1

Add the miso, gochujang, soy sauce, vinegar, mirin, sugar, and sesame oil to a small bowl.

  2. 2

Mix well with a spoon or small whisk until the miso and sugar are fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth. Taste and adjust; if you prefer it sweeter, add up to 1.5 tsp of sugar.

  3. 3

Serve the finished miso sauce with vegetables, meat, fish, tofu, or other foods.

Notes

The post does not specify particular uses or storage instructions. Since this recipe uses mirin without heating it, if desired, briefly bring the mixture to a simmer in a small saucepan to cook off the alcohol, then cool it before mixing it with the other ingredients.
