Ingredients
- 1.5 lb sirloin steak (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 1.5 lb baby potatoes (halved)
- 1 onion (medium, sliced)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
- 3 garlic (cloves, minced)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
Steps
- 1
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) or prepare your grill for medium-high heat.
- 2
In a large mixing bowl, combine the bite-sized sirloin steak pieces, halved baby potatoes, and sliced onions.
- 3
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- 4
Pour the garlic butter mixture over the steak and potatoes and toss thoroughly until everything is evenly coated.
- 5
Cut four large sheets of heavy-duty aluminum foil. Divide the steak and potato mixture evenly among the sheets, placing the food in the center.
- 6
Fold the sides of the foil over the food and seal the edges tightly to create closed packets, leaving a little room for steam to circulate.
- 7
Place the packets in the air fryer basket (you may need to work in batches) and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the steak is cooked to your desired doneness.
- 8
Carefully open the packets (watch out for hot steam) and serve immediately, optionally garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
While the source mentions air fryer hashtags, these packets can also be baked in a standard oven at 400°F for 20-25 minutes or grilled over medium-high heat for 15-20 minutes. Ensure potatoes are cut small enough to cook at the same rate as the steak.
