Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1.5 lb sirloin steak (Cut into bite-size pieces; strip loin, tenderloin, strip steak, or rib eye may be used instead.)
- 0.25 tsp salt (Or to taste.)
- 0.25 tsp pepper (Or to taste.)
- 2 tbsp salted butter
- 4 garlic (Cloves, minced.)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley (Chopped; for garnish.)
Steps
- 1
In a medium bowl, add the olive oil, steak pieces, salt, and pepper. Toss until the steak is evenly coated.
- 2
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (204°C). If your air fryer has no preheat function, set it to 400°F and run it for 4 minutes; check doneness after that time and, if needed, continue in 1-minute intervals. The recipe notes that the steak is preferred slightly pink inside.
- 3
When the air fryer is preheated, place the steak bites in the basket and cook for 4 minutes. Avoid overcrowding so hot air can circulate around the pieces.
- 4
While the steak cooks, place a skillet on the stovetop and melt the butter.
- 5
Add the minced garlic to the melted butter. Stir and cook for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant and starting to brown, then remove the skillet from the heat.
- 6
When the steak is done, add it to the skillet with the garlic butter and toss to coat.
- 7
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
The recipe recommends cutting the steak into evenly sized, about 1-inch pieces and not overcrowding the air-fryer basket. For meal prep, slightly undercook the steak before reheating. Reheat leftovers in an air fryer preheated to 350°F for 3–5 minutes, or until heated through. Suggested sides include roasted potatoes or vegetables. The instructions provide a 4-minute cooking time but do not specify an exact doneness temperature for the steak.
