Ingredients

  • 2 Oranges (segmented and sliced)
  • 1 Lime (juiced)
  • 10 g fresh mint
  • 3 tsp agave nectar
  • 500 ml water
  • ice cubes
  • salt (a pinch)

Steps

  1. 1

Segment the oranges: Cut off both ends of the orange and use a sharp knife to cut away the peel in strips.

  2. 2

Remove the white pith and any seeds, then cut the flesh into slices.

  3. 3

Halve the lime and squeeze out all the juice.

  4. 4

Place the orange slices, lime juice, fresh mint, agave nectar, water, and a pinch of salt in a blender or mix in a pitcher (blend or stir depending on the desired consistency).

  5. 5

Serve the drink in glasses with ice cubes.

Notes

Agua Fresca is a classic Mexican refreshing drink. For a finer texture, the mixture can be poured through a sieve after blending.
