Ingredients
- 400 g ground meat (minced meat)
- scallions (sliced; green onions)
- garlic (minced)
- white pepper (white pepper powder)
- salt (to taste)
- seasoning powder (mushroom or chicken seasoning)
- 1 egg (1 whole egg)
- warm water (warm water)
- 1 tsp chicken stock powder (1 tsp chicken stock powder)
- dumpling wrappers (wonton or dumpling skins)
- chili oil (for garnish)
- sesame seeds (for garnish; toasted sesame seeds)
Steps
- 1
In a large mixing bowl, combine 400 grams of ground meat, sliced scallions, minced garlic, white pepper, salt, and seasoning powder.
- 2
Add one egg to the meat mixture and mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined and the texture is uniform.
- 3
In a separate small bowl, mix warm water with 1 teaspoon of chicken stock powder to create a light broth.
- 4
Start assembling the lasagna by placing a layer of dumpling wrappers at the bottom of a heat-proof bowl or steamer tray.
- 5
Take a portion of the meat mixture, flatten it slightly, and place it evenly over the dumpling wrappers.
- 6
Repeat the layering process, alternating between dumpling wrappers and the meat mixture, until you have reached the desired height.
- 7
Pour the prepared chicken stock broth over the assembled dumpling lasagna, ensuring enough liquid reaches the bottom layers.
- 8
Place the bowl in a steamer and steam for 20 minutes until the meat is fully cooked and the dumpling skins appear translucent and wrinkled.
- 9
Remove from the steamer and garnish with chili oil, sesame seeds, and additional sliced scallions before serving.
Notes
If you do not have chicken stock powder, you can substitute it with a crumbled chicken bouillon cube dissolved in water.
