Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup Greek yogurt (for Layer 1)
  • 6 strawberries (for Layer 1)
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (for Layer 1)
  • 0.25 cup milk (for Layer 1)
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds (for Layer 1)
  • 0.5 cup Greek yogurt (for Layer 2)
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (for Layer 2)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for Layer 2)
  • salt (pinch, for Layer 2)
  • 1 banana (for Layer 2)
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds (for Layer 2)
  • 0.5 cup Greek yogurt (for Layer 3)
  • 2 tsp cocoa powder (for Layer 3)
  • 2 tbsp dark chocolate (melted, for Layer 3)
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (for Layer 3)
  • 2 tbsp milk (for Layer 3)
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds (for Layer 3)
  • 2 tbsp dark chocolate (melted, for topping)

Steps

  1. 1

Prepare Layer 1 (Strawberry): In a blender, combine 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, 6 strawberries, 1 tablespoon maple syrup, and 1/4 cup milk.

  2. 2

Blend the mixture until smooth, then pour into a bowl and stir in 1 tablespoon of chia seeds. Set aside or pour into the bottom of your serving jars.

  3. 3

Prepare Layer 2 (Banana Vanilla): In a blender, combine 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, 1 tablespoon maple syrup, 1 teaspoon vanilla, a pinch of salt, and 1 banana.

  4. 4

Blend until smooth, then stir in 1 tablespoon of chia seeds. Layer this on top of the strawberry mixture.

  5. 5

Prepare Layer 3 (Chocolate): In a blender, combine 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, 2 teaspoons cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons melted dark chocolate, 1 tablespoon maple syrup, and 2 tablespoons milk.

  6. 6

Blend until smooth, then stir in 1 tablespoon of chia seeds. Layer this on top of the banana mixture.

  7. 7

Top the final layer with 2 tablespoons of melted dark chocolate, spreading it evenly to create a shell.

  8. 8

Refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow the chia seeds to hydrate and the chocolate top to set before eating.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute Greek yogurt with oat milk yogurt and use a plant-based milk like oat or almond milk. You can also use organic cacao powder instead of cocoa powder for a less processed option.
