Ingredients
- 24 oz cream soda (frozen in a tray for a few hours)
- 0.5 cup marshmallow cream
- 0.5 cup heavy cream
- 4 tbsp butterscotch syrup (divided between foam and base)
- sea salt (a pinch for the foam)
- 1 tbsp caramel syrup
- 0.5 tsp butter extract
- salt (a pinch for the base)
Steps
- 1
Pour the cream soda into a tray and place it in the freezer for a few hours.
- 2
Give the cream soda a stir halfway through the freezing process to help it achieve a slushy texture.
- 3
While the soda freezes, prepare the foam by adding the marshmallow cream, heavy cream, a drizzle of butterscotch syrup, and a pinch of sea salt to a bowl.
- 4
Whip the foam mixture together using a whisk or hand mixer until it thickens into a soft, billowy consistency.
- 5
Once the cream soda is frozen, break it apart into chunks and add it to a blender.
- 6
Add the caramel syrup, butter extract, a pinch of salt, and more butterscotch syrup to the blender with the frozen soda.
- 7
Blend the mixture together until it reaches a perfect, snowy slushy consistency.
- 8
Pour the frozen base into glasses and top generously with the prepared butterscotch marshmallow foam.
Notes
For the best results, use a high-quality butterscotch syrup. Stirring the soda while it freezes prevents it from becoming a solid block of ice, making it easier to blend into a 'snowy' texture.
