Ingredients
- 300 g hazelnuts (Use 150 g to blend into the paste; reserve the rest to place in the center of the truffles and chop for the coating.)
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- chocolate bar with more than 70% cocoa (As much as needed to coat the truffles.)
- 1 tsp coconut oil (To melt together with the chocolate.)
- chopped hazelnuts (As much as needed to coat the truffles.)
Steps
- 1
Blend 150 g of the hazelnuts in a food processor.
- 2
Add the cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and honey to the blended hazelnuts. Mix well until all the ingredients form a paste.
- 3
Take portions of the paste and shape them into approximately 15 balls. Place one whole hazelnut in the center of each truffle.
- 4
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave, together with the coconut oil.
- 5
Place the chopped hazelnuts in one bowl and the melted chocolate in another.
- 6
Dip each ball, one at a time, in the melted chocolate and then in the chopped hazelnuts, coating it completely.
- 7
Refrigerate the truffles until ready to serve.
Notes
The source does not specify the quantity of chocolate or chopped hazelnuts, nor the refrigeration time. The total amount of hazelnuts indicated is 300 g; the exact division between blended hazelnuts, whole hazelnuts, and hazelnuts for the coating is not specified.
