Ingredients
- 400 g Potatoes (For example, baby potatoes; wash, dry thoroughly, and cut into evenly sized slices.)
- 2 EL Olive oil
- 1 TL Salt
- 1 TL Paprika
- Pepper (To taste)
- 1 TL Rosemary
- 1 TL Thyme
Steps
- 1
Wash the potatoes thoroughly, then dry them very well. A dry surface helps them become crispy in the air fryer.
- 2
Cut the potatoes into evenly sized slices. Uniform pieces cook as evenly as possible and prevent some potatoes from becoming dark while others are still hard.
- 3
Place the potato slices in a sufficiently large bowl.
- 4
Add the olive oil, salt, paprika, pepper, rosemary, and thyme to the potatoes.
- 5
Mix everything thoroughly until the potatoes are evenly coated with oil and seasonings.
- 6
If needed, line the air-fryer basket with a little parchment paper and add the seasoned potatoes. Air-fry at 180 °C for about 20 minutes in total, until cooked through and crispy. Make sure the parchment paper does not unnecessarily obstruct the airflow and is suitable for your air fryer.
- 7
After about 10 minutes, briefly remove the basket and shake it vigorously. This redistributes the potatoes so they cook more evenly.
Notes
The potatoes can also be halved, quartered, cut into sixths, or diced; the pieces should be as evenly sized as possible. Store leftover potatoes in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place them in the air fryer at 150 °C for about 10 minutes, then heat for an additional 5–10 minutes if needed. Ketchup, mayonnaise, or a dip go well with them as a snack; they also make a suitable side dish for meat, fish, vegan alternatives, or salad.
