Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 3 green onions (finely sliced)
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger (grated)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp coconut aminos
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp chili oil crunch
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil (1-2 tbsp)
  • 0.5 cup water (for steaming)
  • 3 tbsp coconut aminos (or soy sauce)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp chili oil crunch (1-2 tsp)
  • 0.5 tsp sesame oil
  • green onions (for topping)
  • sesame seeds (for topping)
  • chili crisp (for topping)
  • fresh cilantro (for topping)

Steps

  1. 1

In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, sliced green onions, grated ginger, minced garlic, 2 tablespoons coconut aminos, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, maple syrup, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, 1 teaspoon chili oil crunch, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

Heat 1-2 tablespoons of avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  3. 3

Scoop the chicken filling into the skillet in small mounds (about the size of a dumpling) and flatten them slightly.

  4. 4

Place one wonton wrapper directly on top of each mound of chicken filling.

  5. 5

Carefully pour 1/2 cup of water into the skillet (avoiding pouring directly onto the wrappers) and immediately cover with a lid.

  6. 6

Steam for 4-5 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked through and the wonton wrappers are translucent and tender.

  7. 7

While the dumplings steam, prepare the Quick Chili Soy Drizzle by whisking together 3 tablespoons coconut aminos, 2 cloves minced garlic, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 1-2 teaspoons chili oil crunch, and 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil in a small bowl.

  8. 8

Remove the lid from the skillet and pour the prepared sauce directly over the dumplings.

  9. 9

Garnish with additional green onions, sesame seeds, chili crisp, and fresh cilantro before serving.
