Ingredients
- 700 g Boneless, skinless chicken thighs (Cut into thick cubes)
- 60 g Honey
- 60 ml Soy sauce
- 30 ml Rice vinegar
- 60 g Ketchup
- 3 dientes Garlic (Minced)
- 1 tbsp Vegetable oil (For greasing the pan)
- 600 g Cooked rice (For serving)
- 1 tbsp Sesame seeds (Optional, for garnish)
- 2 Green onions (Optional, thinly sliced, for garnish)
Steps
- 1
Cut the boneless, skinless chicken thighs into thick cubes. Mince the garlic and prepare the remaining ingredients.
- 2
In a bowl, combine the chicken with the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, ketchup, and minced garlic. Stir until all the pieces are well coated.
- 3
Cover the bowl and marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes. If marinating for longer, keep it refrigerated.
- 4
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and grease it with the vegetable oil.
- 5
Add the marinated chicken to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for approximately 5 minutes per side, turning when the surface is golden brown.
- 6
Continue cooking until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce has thickened and darkened slightly. The center of the chicken should reach 74 °C.
- 7
Remove the skillet from the heat. Let the chicken rest for a couple of minutes so the sauce adheres better.
- 8
Divide the freshly cooked rice among bowls and place the honey-sweetened chicken on top.
- 9
If desired, finish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve hot.

The quantities do not appear in the description or transcript; they have been estimated for 4 servings. The author indicates marinating for at least 15 minutes and that the sesame seeds and green onions are optional. Refrigerate leftovers in a sealed container for up to 3 days and reheat gently.
