Ingredients
- 15 g all-purpose flour (all-purpose flour)
- 8 g protein powder (protein powder)
- 8 g cocoa powder (cocoa powder)
- 40 ml semi-skimmed milk (semi-skimmed milk)
- 1 vanilla flavor shot (vanilla flavor shot or extract)
- 6 g milk chocolate (1 square of milk chocolate)
- cooking spray (cooking spray for the dish)
- 0.5 tsp cocoa powder (for dusting the dish)
Steps
- 1
In a small bowl, combine the flour, protein powder, 8g cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla flavor shot.
- 2
Stir the mixture thoroughly until the batter is completely smooth and contains no lumps.
- 3
Lightly spray a microwave-safe ramekin or small dish with cooking spray and spread it evenly with a brush.
- 4
Add 1/2 teaspoon of cocoa powder to the dish and shake it around so it sticks to the bottom and sides.
- 5
Pour the lava cake batter into the prepared dish.
- 6
Press the square of milk chocolate into the center of the batter.
- 7
Microwave for approximately 45 seconds at 400W. Watch closely: the cake is ready when it rises significantly and looks like it is about to collapse.
- 8
Remove from the microwave while the center is still moist and gooey, then serve immediately.
Notes
The cooking time may vary depending on your microwave. Since there is no raw egg in the recipe, it is safe to eat even if the center is very soft.
